Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she went to at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently within the top three throughout her competitions during the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
